What You Need
2 large Granny Smith apples
1 lemon
¼ cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup cornstarch
1 tablespoon baking powder
⅓ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
oil for frying (like canola, vegetable, or avocado oil)
¾ cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
store-bought caramel sauce
store-bought chocolate sauce

Recipe Steps
Begin by whipping up your cream if you're making it from scratch. In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, confectioners' sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat on high until it starts to thicken, which should take about a minute. Set it aside or chill until you're ready to dip!

In a separate large bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon, mixing them well.

Heat the frying oil in a pot or deep skillet to 400°F.

Slice the apples into ½-inch sticks. Be careful not to cut them too thin; otherwise, they may turn out soggy after frying.

Drizzle lemon juice over the apple sticks in the bowl, coating them evenly.

Add the cornstarch, flour, and baking powder to the apples and toss everything together until they are well coated.

Once your oil is hot, shake off any excess flour from the apple sticks and fry them in small batches for about 60-70 seconds. Frying too many at once can lower the oil temperature, making them greasy.

When your apple fries are golden brown, remove them from the oil and toss them in the cinnamon-sugar mix. Serve them hot with the three sauces for dipping. Enjoy!
