Winter storm this weekend.

What:
Additional snowfall accumulations of 7 to 15 cm.
Significantly reduced visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow.
Slippery surfaces and light ice build-up from freezing drizzle.

When:
Ending this afternoon. The heaviest snow is expected this morning. For regions east of Lake Huron, snow squalls will develop this evening.

Additional information:
Periods of freezing drizzle or drizzle at time mixed with light snow will linger before conditions deteriorate this morning as a more significant area of snow and blowing snow arrives. Latest analysis suggests that snowfall accumulations will be less than initially forecast. Travel is not recommended.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Public Safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight. ...read more
